I led the rebuild of Jambar Team Building’s 200+ page WordPress website, migrating it from Enfold to GeneratePress and GenerateBlocks to create a faster, more flexible, and easier-to-manage site.
The project involved auditing and restructuring the existing website, rebuilding key pages and service content, migrating blog content, restructuring custom post types, creating a separate landing page site, preserving important URLs, and cleaning up Enfold-specific code and shortcodes.
I worked on the project largely independently over approximately 40 days, with feedback from my manager throughout the process. The new setup made content management and page creation significantly easier, while providing greater flexibility for customised layouts and future updates.
Key outcome: A leaner and more flexible WordPress setup that improved the day-to-day editing experience and made the website easier to maintain and develop.
I wrote a blog post about this project which details the approach I used, my observations and learnings. You can read it here: Why & how I rebuilt a 200+ page website: Switching from Enfold to GeneratePress + GenerateBlocks
