If you want to emphasise a point, or get something across, like explaining something, or to share your opinion, just say it plainly. Don’t LIE. Don’t LIE.
Don’t tell a false story to get something across, or to validate your opinion. Don’t LIE.
A collection of thoughts I had at random times that I jotted down on notes apps or scribbled on papers. These are my thoughts and only my own. They are not meant to offend anyone in any way.
If you want to emphasise a point, or get something across, like explaining something, or to share your opinion, just say it plainly. Don’t LIE. Don’t LIE.
Don’t tell a false story to get something across, or to validate your opinion. Don’t LIE.
This doesn’t mean to not think or plan at all, but not to overthink and prioritise execution.
Not just nice to have things
There are times when you have the right conditions and the environment to do your work, but you still might not be able to get yourself to start working. Defining your work, by that I mean, having a simple and concise list of things to do can help you get clarity on what needs to be done. That can help you to start working on things and get them done one by one.
Limiting yourself helps you be in control. And doing it again and again helps you be consistent and improve yourself on that thing you’re doing.
… just do the stuff you like for the people you love and for yourself.
Keep it simple. The primary goal of any species on this planet is to survive. Live another day to enjoy life. There’s no need for a bigger purpose than that.
Don’t count the minutes, just live them, for the people you love and for yourself. Do something you don’t completely hate. Build something. Solve a problem. Make memories. That’s all there is to life.
A belief that you’ll be able to do the things that you want to do in life.
Be aware of it and stay hopeful. Hold on to your hope and keep doing what you are doing. Hope and consistency are your best weapons against that fear.
Your life is in your hands. Do your shit. Focus on your work.
A good routine will help you stay focussed. It is not gonna fix everything but it can give you at least some clarity to try to fix things. Form a routine, a simple routine that you can keep up to do your work. The first thing to do should be to schedule your day.
What are you good at?
What excites you?
What is it that you want to do most all the time that you can turn into a career?
Identify that and create a path to become great at it.
Write down a list of things to do and complete them one by one. Things will start to make sense again slowly.
Just try to live your life as well as you can doing something that you don’t entirely hate, so that you can build a life close to what you imagine it could be.
Learning to deal with and live with it is what helps you lead a stable and good life.
It’s okay to just be okay at a few things. Just be good at one thing and be okay at few things and suck at few things. Form a beautiful bell curve of your talent and skills.
Those are the only two ways. Rest is bull-shit.
Many times when you start learning new things, you might’ve started with a lot of excitement. That excitement will motivate you and drive you to learn for a few days in the beginning. But it fades away after a few days. And you might think maybe you don’t enjoy what you’re learning and you have to give up. Don’t do that. When you commit to doing something, you have to go all the way. This is how life is with regard to anything of significant value. Family, relationships, friendships, self growth. All of these require commitment to doing what is necessary no matter how you feel. When you keep doing the same thing despite feeling bored or lazy or uninterested, at the end of it, the outcome of it will give you all the satisfaction and excitement you wanted all along the way.
This doesn’t mean you have to be unhappy about doing something. Find joy in the struggle. Find little things along of the way that can give you some sort of achievement and get you excited again.
